General Manager - Hilton Garden Inn Budapest South (opening Q1 2027)
We are looking for a General Manager to lead the brand-new Hilton Garden Inn Budapest South at Mester utca 76/B. The hotel has 150 guest rooms, the Hilton Garden Inn Together & Co. restaurant and lobby bar concept, 5 meeting rooms, a rooftop terrace and a fitness centre, and is part of a mixed-use development with residential apartments and offices. The hotel opens in Q1 2027. You will take over the hotel from the pre-opening team and run it as part of an operator group, working with Hilton brand standards, Mogotel's group processes and the owner's expectations.
Your role and responsibilities:
Take over the hotel from the pre-opening team and lead it from the first months into stable, profitable operations
Run day-to-day operations across front office, housekeeping, F&B, maintenance, and meetings and events
Own the hotel budget and P&L, manage revenue and costs, and report results to Mogotel's office in Riga
Work with the group sales and revenue management teams to build the hotel's position in the Budapest market
Ensure compliance with Hungarian legislation, including labour law, health and safety and NTAK reporting
Ensure compliance with Hilton Garden Inn brand standards and guest experience targets
Build, lead and develop the hotel team, keeping service quality consistent
Support cooperation with other Mogotel hotels.

We are looking for you if you:
Have at least 5 years of experience in hotel management, including at least 3 years as General Manager with an international hotel brand
Have worked within a hotel operator or franchise model and know how to balance brand, operator and owner requirements
Have experience with a hotel opening or the first year of a new hotel (an advantage)
Have strong financial skills and experience with budgeting, P&L and reporting
Know Hungarian labour law and the Budapest hotel market
Speak fluent Hungarian and English
Are a hands-on leader who builds teams and gets things done
Have worked within a hotel operator or franchise model and know how to balance brand, operator and owner requirements
Have experience with a hotel opening or the first year of a new hotel (an advantage)
Have strong financial skills and experience with budgeting, P&L and reporting
Know Hungarian labour law and the Budapest hotel market
Speak fluent Hungarian and English
