Convention Sales Manager

As Convention Sales Manager you’ll make sure that all aspects of the events and groups from inquiry to the farewell are managed appropriately with the highest level of service delivery while providing an exceptional experience to our guests.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• To manage sales activities and events in line with the annual sales and marketing plan and to achieve/exceed budget and sales strategy for the hotel

• Take responsibility for the complete event from client inquiry to event pre-conference
• Utilize every opportunity to upsell the hotel facilities
• Build and maintain excellent long term relationships with key internal and external partners
• Develop and increase banqueting revenues by effective suggestive selling
• Convert a maximum of requests into “real confirmed business”
• Handle all correspondence for pre-event details
• Coordinate allocation of space for the conference and associated events
• Handover operations to Banquet Team on site and conduct all final billing procedures

Requirements:

• University/College degree in economics preferably in tourism and hospitality
• 4-5 years professional experience in sales preferably in hotels
• Willingness and ability for negotiations, accountability and think solution orientated
• Fluent written and oral language skills in English and Hungarian
• Ability to work in team and independently
• Able to work under stress
• Excellent communication and guest/client handling capabilities
• Positive attitude
• Goal oriented personality
