Hungary's three largest beverages wholesalers registered two-digit revenue growth in January-October as demand from hotels and restaurants increased significantly, business news portal napi.hu reported.

Hansa-Kontakt and Central-Drinks, the country's two biggest drinks wholesalers, are expected to increase their combined revenues by more than 10% this year from Ft 80 billion last year, according to the report. Central-Drinks saw dynamic growth mostly because of higher demand in the HoReCa segment, napi.hu said.

Z+D, the third biggest player, expects its revenue to rise to Ft 20.5 billion from last year's Ft 15.5 billion. Warm weather in the summer and also later in the fall helped increase orders from domestic hotels and restaurants, which sometimes caused temporary shortages in certain products at Lake Balaton and in Budapest, the portal added.
