The government has started the reconstruction of the main complex at Esterházy mansion at Tata. The project is scheduled to cost Ft 2.3 billion in total.

The reconstruction will include about 3,500 square meters of space at the mansion and is expected to be completed by 2020. Approximately Ft 1.5 billion of the costs will be covered from European Union funds, while the remaining Ft 800 million will be financed from Hungary's budget.

Hungary has been working to renovate and upgrade many of its mansions and castles in an overall development program. The government has earmarked Ft 57.5 billion for upgrading 20 mansions and 19 castles nationwide in the next few years.
