The Hungarian government will provide Ft 750 million in subsidies to 58 festivals this year combined, state secretary Bence Rétvári has announced.
The total amount of government subsidies available to domestic festivals tripled in the past three years from only Ft 250 million in 2016, the state secretary said.

Those events supported by government funding this year include arts festival Művészetek Völgye, Anna Festival in Balatonfüred, the Flower Carneval in Debrecen and Csángó Festival in Jászberény.
