Domestic hotels, guesthouses and private accommodations will be nearly fully booked for the upcoming four-day Easter weekend, the Association of Hungarian Hotels and Restaurants (Magyar Szállodák és Éttermek Szövetsége - MSZÉSZ) said.

The expected growth in demand for accommodation during the Easter holidays may be in the two-digit category compared to the same period last year, the association said.

MSZÉSZ said hotels, guesthouses and apartments are expected to have an occupancy of about 90% in the period from 30 March to 2 April.

Hotel rates will reflect the increased demand this weekend: the association estimates that the average accommodation prices are about 20% higher on the Easter weekend than on a regular weekend.
