A number of domestic hotels have received new qualifications this year in Hotelstars Union, the EU's official hotel classification system. The scheme now has 398 members in the country, accounting for about 60% of total hotel capacity.

The qualification committee, which includes members from the Hungarian Tourism Agency, the Association of Hungarian Hotels & Restaurants and the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce, has granted stars to the following hotels in 2018:
