Budapest was one of the best performing regions last year for Orbis hotel group, the eastern European subsidiary of AccorHotels, beside Prague and Warsaw, the company said in its latest earnings report.

The three cities have recorded double-digit growth each in average revenue per available room (Revpar), which rose by 6.5% to €43.4 in the entire group.

The average occupancy rate also increased, to 74.1% from 73.1%, while the average net room price was up at €58.5 last year, compared to €55.7 a year earlier. Orbis' total revenues rose by 5.4% to €343.5 million and pre-tax profits totaled €67.5 million, up from €60.6 million.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


The company operated 18 hotels in Hungary at the end of last year and had three projects here in the pipeline. It spent about 471 million zloty on six lease buy-backs in Hungary in 2017.
