The agency's country representatives responsible for each specific inbound market will work from Budapest instead of living and working in the given area abroad, MTÜ chief executive Zoltan Guller said at a tourism trade event held by the Association of Hungarian Travel Agencies (Magyar Utazási Irodák Szövetsége - MUISZ).

Country representatives will continue to be based abroad in case of distant markets, like the US, but operations in most other countries, including Germany or Austria, will be overseen from the Budapest headquarters, he said. These organisational changes come after MTÜ closed its foreign representative offices in 2016.

Guller also said the agency will continue participating in various tourism fairs in the future and market players will still have a chance to exhibit at its stands at a discount. But in a change from previous practice, MTÜ will cover half of the related costs of domestic companies. (turizmus.com, January 18, 2018).
