Ibis Styles Budapest Airport, the first hotel located directly at the Ferenc Liszt International Airport, held an official opening ceremony on 7 March.

The hotel started operation on 3 January following its soft opening. It mostly receives solo business travelers so far, who generally spends one night at the property, according to hotel director Csaba Palotai.

The average occupancy rate is currently below 50%, but the hotel is normally fully booked in the middle of the week.

Companies are yet to discover conference capacity, but Ibis Styles Budapes Airport already hosted several receptions and presentations, mostly by airlines and tour operators.
