Gross wages of full-time employees in the domestic hospitality and accommodation services sector rose by 10.9% in average in January-May from a year earlier, which compares with a 11.6% average growth in the country's economy as a whole, according to the latest data from the Central Statistics Office (KSH).

The actual amount of the average gross monthly wage in tourism totaled Ft 208,100 in January-May, the lowest among domestic industries and sectors.

KSH said employees in the financial and insurance sector had the highest average gross monthly wage at Ft 610,800 during the first five months of this year.
