Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge Executive Assistant Manager in charge of Rooms Division

Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge is a luxury 5-star hotel in Budapest's heart. The hotel features: 357 rooms and suites over viewing the Danube, the Paris-Budapest restaurant & bar, where French and Hungarian cuisines blend deliciously, a ball room & 17 function rooms, an Executive Club, indoor swimming pool and fitness centre.

Scope of responsibilities

  • EAM in charge of Rooms Division is responsible for planning and managing the overall Room Division of the Hotel and to achieve optimal financial result as per the financial objectives and to meet/ exceed hotel guest satisfaction.
  • He/ she is responsible for giving direction to the entire division: Front Office, Bell Service, Concierge, Guest Services, Guest Relations, Executive Lounge, Spa, Housekeeping and Laundry.
  • He/ She must achieve guest satisfaction targets and team member satisfaction goals.
  • In addition he/ she is responsible for developing and traininig managers and supervisors within the Rooms Division depatment, analyzing current trends and making recommendations accordingly.

The Rooms Division Manager contributes to the overall business planning and development of the hotel.

  • Developments of all budgets, forecasts, and schedules in line with the Hotel Business plan.
  • Implements guidelines, policies and procedures for those operating department.
  • Guides operations and establishes a work environment to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Manages performance issues that arise within the respective operating departments.
  • Interviews, selects, trains, appraises, coaches, counsels and disciplines departmental employees/managers according to company standards.
  • Evaluates change in guest needs, the guest mix and competitive set, to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes as necessary.
  • Has a strong sales and marketing approach in order to accomplish and support Sofitel Brand Projects and events.
  • Ensures employee satisfaction while maintaining market competitiveness.
  • Is an inspiration to all hotel staff to achieve luxury levels of performance.
  • Interacts in a positive way with other departments to ensure a luxury guest experience.
  • Ensures that employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Hotel’s policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
  • Must be an example of the Sofitel Values, brand standards, and a champion of grooming and appearance guidelines.
  • Is fully in charge of the quality management by coordinating the guest satisfaction and mystery guest related tasks among the departments of the hotel.

Skills

  • Minimum of  3 years Room Division management experience, preferably in the luxury setting
  • A strong understanding of operational controls, budgeting, forecasting, sales, and marketing
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to train and develop team members
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take initiative
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Computer skills (word processing, spread sheet, and presentation software)
  • Excellent English proficiency
