This stylish luxury hotel, Corinthia Budapest is looking for an ambitious, determined and highly motivated individual who is seeking to embark on a career in hospitality.

The Reservations Manager position is responsible for providing direction and leadership to the reservations team. Assisting the Director of Revenue Management, the Reservations Manager will provide comprehensive support to ensure the highest standards are delivered during the booking process whilst applying the revenue strategy to maximise the room revenues.

Main duties:

  • Keeps abreast of trends and innovations within the hotel industry and the market
  • Periodically reviews reservations processes, identifying means of increasing productivity and efficiency within the reservation office
  • Sets realistic, measurable reservation standards, objectives, and goals (conversion ratio, call etiquette etc) to be achieved and communicates to leaders and employees
  • Be the ambassador of Forbes and LQA standards
  • Develops, directs, and maintains the highest in standards of the reservations process to ensure a positive guest booking experience by pre-empting the guest needs
  • Ensures that all daily tasks are completed accurately by the reservations team and guest requests (internal and external) are communicated to the relevant department in a timely manner
  • Ensures all bookings are entered accurately into the system, following up with reservation agents where necessary
  • Keeps reservation team up to date with hotel performance levels and communicates additional information that can assist in driving booking levels and conversion rates
  • Maintains high communication levels with Director of Revenue Management & Distribution, advising of group block status changes & proactively advising of changes in demand levels
  • Participates in managing the departmental budget
  • Drives the Corinthia values and philosophy
  • Partners with the hotel management team to understand the business needs and develops a passionate, sales focused reservations office environment to support strategic objectives
  • Interacts with employees and guests beyond giving and receiving instructions, emphasizing relationships with supervisors, subordinates, co-workers and guests
  • Possesses an effortless sales manner and be able to instil this in the reservation agents along with suggestive selling and up-selling techniques
  • Produces results through encouraging high achievement within the team


The ideal candidate has:

  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years experience within the 5-star Luxury market as either a Reservations Manager or a strong Assistant Reservations Manager
  • Highly computer literate with a strong command of Excel
  • Experience with hotel software systems (Opera, Opera Sales & Catering and SFA) is a must
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (additional language an asset)
  • Good understanding of revenue management systems & processes
  • Strong communications skills
  • Ability to manage own and other’s time effectively
