International MICE Sales Manager

Five star Hotel in Budapest is seeking a self-motivated, talented candidate for

International MICE Sales Manager position.

Basic purpose of the roll:

Promote and sell our property to MICE market in a defined geographic region. Generate resort awareness through direct phone sales; direct sales calls, tradeshows and networking groups. Work closely with sales team to solicit, sell and confirm MICE business required to meet budgeted sales goals.

The primary responsibilities will be:

• Increasing the sales performance of our Hotel by establishing, maintaining and expanding our customer base
• Develop accounts (new and existing) by mapping specific business and buying tendencies, maintain organized and professional plan for correspondence and follow up
• Conduct tours of our property to meeting planners and other potential customers while discussing all of our hotel services available; entertain customers on property during site inspections, pre-planning trips, and program operation when appropriate
• Reaching the targets and goals set for your area
• Servicing the needs of your existing customers
• Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
• Developing sales strategies and setting targets
• Keeping up to date with competitors
• Reporting to Director of Sales

The ideal candidate will need to have:

• A relevant qualification (university or college degree in Business Administration or in Hospitality Industry Management)
• Over two years professional sales experience
• Ideally a good understanding of the international MICE market
• Full professional proficiency in English, other foreign language skills is an advantage
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills
• Good business sense
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Excellent communication and 'people skills'
• Good planning and organisational skills
• Ability to work calmly under pressure
