Convention Sales Manager, InterContinental Budapest

• To manage sales activities and events
• Take responsibility for groups bookings from sales handover to event pre-conference
• Handle all correspondence for additional pre-event details ensuring that operational teams are fully aware of requirements
• Welcome organizers in house and conduct site inspections
• Coordinate allocation of space for the conference and associated events
• Develop and increase banqueting revenues by effective suggestive selling
• Handover operations to Banquet Team on site and conduct all final billing procedures
• Conduct exit interviews and communicate to relevant departments respective feedback

• University/College degree in economics preferably in tourism and hospitality
• 3-5 years professional experience in sales preferably in hotels
• Fluent written and oral language skills in Hungarian and English
• Ability to work in team and independently
• Able to work under stress
• Excellent communication and guest/client handling capabilities
