The Marriott Sales Office in Budapest is looking for a Director of Group Sales, (maternity cover) heading the Budapest cluster’s energetic and motivated Market EBC Sales team and owning the following responsibilities:
• handles incoming leads – with special focus on MICE segments and leads - within parameters for hotels participating in the Event Booking Center and maximizes revenue through increased bookings across multiple properties and brands. Developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans to increase the hotels’ share in transient and group segments,
• corporate, leisure and local catering business development for the cluster hotels – Budapest Marriott Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Budapest City Center, Millennium Court Marriott Executive Apartments,
• actively supports the team in the sales process,
• administering the staffing, training and performance reviews of the group sales department,
• the ideal candidate has strong market intelligence in both group and catering field, interpersonal and organization skills and minimum 3-5 years leadership experience in larger operation.
Our requirements:
• educational: bachelor’s degree,
• work experience: min. 3 years relevant sales and leadership experience preferably in hotel industry,
• skills, knowledge: Hungarian and English language proficiency are also essential, leadership skills, computer skills, great organizational skills and creativity, team-worker.
This position will be based in the Budapest Marriott hotel.
